My Money Marathon
Hey, my name is Evan. I have developed a passion for personal finance, and have a personal goal of achieving financial independence. The goal of this blog is to bring beginners into the world of investing which many feel is out of their reach. There are a lot of experts out there who have been rich for years that have lost touch with the beginning of that journey. I want to fill that gap.
I recently graduated college (see that doofus ^ above) as a Mechanical Engineer and am working as a Design Engineer. Outside work, I love playing basketball, cooking, and spending time with my girlfriend. This blog was greatly inspired by a frustration with the constant 9-5 grind and a desire to find another way to live. I sincerely hope that this helps me achieve that and that that same process can help others in a similar situation.
When I graduated college, I knew nothing about personal finance or investing. I was suddenly out in the real world, soon with a good salary, but no clue how to use it. For a while I was stumbling along not doing much with it.
Eventually, I became enthralled by the idea of doing more with my saved money than just letting it sit there. This led me down the road of investing. Once I had talked my friends’ ears off about the opportunities in investing, I decided to share my excitement and knowledge on personal finance with the world. So, My Money Marathon was born.
Through all the knowledge I have gained in my journey, I am making great strides toward financial independence. This is not in any way bragging; quite the opposite. I want to be proof that making simple, straightforward financial decisions can lead to a genuine change in your finances. The journey doesn’t have to be as complicated as we are made to believe.
The idea of bettering even one person’s life through speaking about building wealth through investing is beyond exciting. My passion is genuinely to bring beginners into the stock market and show them how to effectively build wealth.
